The Dahrendorf Colloquium is based on the thought of creating an intergenerational dialogue between the participating students and the exciting speakers. To this end, participants will spend two days in the region of Lake Constance to discuss the major issues of our time in a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere and thus contribute to the preservation of the liberal order in our society.

The individual workshops, which take part in groups of 8 to 9 students, are all taking a reference to the models of freedom, future and society. To make the program as exciting as it is, it requires a deliberate selection of individuals from business, science, culture and politics, which deal intensively with the questions of the society and share their thoughts with the next generation in this regard. But it is the exchange between our speakers and the students at the Dahrendorf Colloquium that makes it a unique event for all participants.
At the first Dahrendorf colloquium in 2010 we had high-profile figures such as Dr. Thomas Held, Avenir Suisse, Professor Victoria Curzon Price, former president of the Mont Pelerin Society, and also Dr. Detmar Doering, head of the Liberal Institute of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation and editor of numerous publications, hosting workshops.

Their intellectual influence on the course of the workshops in collaboration with committed students made the two days exceptionally exciting and unique. This is why we are already expecting the 2012 colloquium in great anticipation.
More information about the individual workshops, the results and the speakers can be found in the final brochure of the 2010 Colloquium.
