Like no other Lord Ralf Dahrendorf (1929 - 2009) has influenced the perception of liberal civil society and highlighted the risks to which freedom is exposed to in our time. During his lifetime, he inspired the „Dialog Klub“ of the University of St. Gallen to host a colloquium on his behalf.

This conference will give students the chance to reflect on the footsteps of Lord Dahrendorf and to discuss the significance and meaning of the terms "freedom, “society” and “future" in our society. On this occasion, we want to bring together exciting personalities from all parts of our society with the students and promote the intergenerational dialogue between speakers and participants.

The Organizing Committee and the Dialog Klub St. Gallen want to invite you on the weekend of the 20^th and 21^th April 2012 to participate in this colloquium.
